It’s been already 5 years since Evive Smoothie kicked off their first few Energizing smoothie blends. The original flavours were the Samouraï, Yogi, and Touk-Touk. To this day, they’re still extremely popular, with Samouraï consistently being amongst our best-selling smoothies! In 2019, Evive launched a new smoothie flavour that would be the start of a completely new line of smoothies. The Orange Peach smoothie included an extra dose of non-GMO soy protein, making it the first of our new Extra Protein line! Recently, I came up with the idea of creating a dessert to share for special occasions when I receive visitors. This idea was inspired by two products that I particularly like.

Today, I would like to share with you my delicious recipe of vegan tiramisu with Azteque smoothies and Station Cold Brew coffee.

Evive & Station Cold Brew Vegan Tiramisu (Makes 2-4 serving) 

Sponge cake

Wet ingredients:

    • ¾ cup non dairy milk
    • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
    • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar / lemon juice

Dry ingredients:

    • ¼ cup cane sugar
    • 1 ¼ all-purpose flour
    • ½ teaspoon baking soda
    • ¼ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
    • ¼ teaspoon of salt

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Mix the wet ingredients together in a bowl
  3. In a second bowl, mix all the dry ingredients together. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix (but don’t ovetrmix)
  4. Oil a pan (8′ by 8′ if square, or about 8 “diameter if round) and pour mixture in 15 to 20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out dry.
  5. Wait a few minutes then unmold the cake and put on a cooling rack.

 

Coco-coffee cream
Ingredients:

• 1 cup of coconut cream 

• ½ cup of cold brew coffee (the coconut one was used in this one)

• ½ slice of Azteque Evive smoothie (4 cubes)


Steps:

Place all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until smooth.

Coconut cream
Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of coconut cream
  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

Steps:

Put all the ingredients in a high speed blender and mix without over-mixing, so as to keep th coconut creamy.

Finishing Ingredients: 

 

Assembly:

    1. In a glass, place a piece of cake (depending on the diameter of the glass) all the way to the bottom. Poke cake with a toothpick and pour in a tablespoon of cold brew coffee. Repeat the same with the other glasses and let stand about 30 seconds, until the coffee has been absorbed by the cake.
    2. Pour in the chocolate cream and then the coconut cream on the top.
    3. Sprinkle with cocoa powder and some coffee beans.
    4. Place in the fridge for at least 30 minutes then enjoy.

Vegan yogurt is one of my favorite desserts, and so I was tempted to try and mix it with one of Evive’s smoothie flavors, the Asana. And since the result was so delicious, I told myself I couldn’t just keep it for myself and had to share it!

 

Yummy vegan yogurt parfait & acai berry recipe
Approx. 2 servings


Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Place the vegan yogurt at the bottom of a glass
  2. Let the smoothie wheels defrost at room temperature in a bowl for 20 minutes
  3. Crush and mix the cubes with the help of a fork in a bowl
  4. Add the pureed Asana smoothie into the glass
  5. Garnish with your favorite homemade granola. Here’s our pick!! Enjoy!

Have you ever considered reducing the amount of meat you eat and substituting protein-rich legumes such as beans and lentils? These plant-based foods may not be top of mind when you think about protein, but they are excellent sources of this essential nutrient, and contain less fat and fewer calories.
 
Consider swapping beef, chicken and even milk or eggs for foods like chickpeas, black beans, peas, almonds and pumpkin seeds. Vegetarian proteins may reduce your risk of heart disease by helping you maintain healthy cholesterol levels and lowering your blood pressure. In addition, studies have shown that plant-based foods may cut your risk for Type 2 diabetes and obesity, and their high-fibre content helps keep you regular – a plus for both digestive and general health.
 
Eating less animal protein shouldn’t mean switching to store-bought highly processed faux meat like veggie burgers and veggie dogs, which are loaded with salt and hard-to-pronounce ingredients. Eliminating meat just one a day a week from your diet offers more than just health benefits: it’s good for the environment, and meatless meals usually cost less.
 
More than fourty-four countries now promote ‘Meatless Mondays,’ an international movement that encourages people to reduce their meat consumption. So why not jump on the bandwagon? Consider making curry chickpeas instead of chicken curry or prepare burgers using brown rice and mushrooms instead of ground beef. Top your salads with toasted sunflower seeds instead of bacon bits. The options are endless. You will thrive with less meat in your diet as long as you choose whole, real foods that nourish your body, mind and soul.

Do not skip breakfast, it’s the most important meal of the day.

 

Have you heard that before? Thousands of times.

 

Several good reasons motivate me to have a nutritious breakfast. Indeed, starting your day on an empty stomach is not ideal. How could your car move forwards without gas? It’s the same principle.

 

Breakfast is THE solution to being productive, having energy, being in a good mood and being able to control our appetite throughout the day.

 

You’re not convinced? You can’t find the time to prepare your breakfast? You aren’t hungry in the morning? Here are 4 other good reasons to convince you!

 

1) Breakfast allows you to increase your vitamin and mineral consumption. It’s the perfect meal to eat fruits and to stock up on antioxidants.

 

2) Breakfast helps control your appetite by keeping you from eating snacks that are high in fat or sugar and therefore helps you maintain a healthy weight.

 

3) If you’re not hungry in the morning, a liquid breakfast is a good choice. For example, you can easily drink a smoothie, which is a good source of glucose for your body before starting your day.

 

4) Obviously, there is no excuse with the Evive smoothies. If you’re in a hurry in the morning, those smoothies are a healthy option that can be prepared in 30 seconds without a blender and meet all the advantages mentioned above.

I’ve included a healthy touch of raw cacao in my morning coffee to create this delicious Mochaccino.

Decadent coffee with Azteque smoothie

 

Ingredients

 

● 1/2 cup Faro coffee

 

● 1 Azteque smoothie washer

 

● 1/2 cup vegetable milk

 


Steps

1 . Prepare your coffee and let it cool slightly.

2 . Mix everything in a blender with the Azteque smoothie cubes

3 . Serve in a glass and garnish with coconut whipped cream and cocoa powder if desired!
