Start your day off right with a fun, colourful and quick breakfast! You simply can’t go wrong with a 5-Minute Pink Pitaya Smoothie Bowl. Using our Viva cubes as the main ingredient, this lovely pink smoothie has a very well-balanced taste. Made with strawberries, bananas, cauliflower, and hemp seeds, it will nourish your mornings while the pitaya brings a wonderful dose of antioxidants!

Ingredients

– 1 Viva wheel 
– 150 ml oat milk, or any other plant-based milk of your choice
– ½ banana (optional, to make it even smoother)

Steps

  1. Pop all the Viva smoothie cubes. 
  2. Gradually add the oat milk and blend. Adjust the amount of liquid according to the desired texture.
  3. Pour into a bowl and decorate with your fave toppings.

Now all you have to do is enjoy your nutritious breakfast!

If you follow us on Facebook and Instagram (if not, what are you waiting for?!), you know just how much we love sharing or resharing beautiful and oh-so-satisfying smoothie bowl recipes. And we see ALL your comments and reactions: we know for a fact you LOVE them too! Now, the real question is: how exactly do we get the ultimate smoothie bowl texture?

Here are our top tips and tricks to create the smoothest, creamiest and thickest smoothie bowl with your fave Evive smoothies.

How to Get the Ultimate Smoothie Bowl Texture
P.S. The flavour you see here is our Asana smoothie (aka our açai flavour!).

  1. We love the unique blender-free aspect of our smoothie cubes, but sometimes, you need to get that blender out. 
  2. Blend your cubes when still frozen.
  3. Reduce the amount of liquid you use: start with just a splash and adjust as you go. You could also completely swap liquid for a plant-based yogurt instead!
  4. Add frozen fruits such as frozen mangoes or berries.
  5. Add ice cubes or frozen coconut milk cubes.
  6. Add creamy ingredients to the mix: bananas and avocados work wonders.

Simply transfer in a bowl and get creative by adding all your fave toppings!

While celebrating Mother’s Day looks different for everyone, one thing we do know is flowers and smoothies are bound to brighten up anyone’s day! A vibrant smoothie bowl to start off Mother’s Day morning is the perfect way to show your love and appreciation for your mom or mother figure! Our Touk-Touk and Viva flavours make the most delicious pairing. They’re filled with nourishing ingredients that are a great source of antioxidants so they can power through their morning. Breakfast in bed? Sounds like a good idea!

Ingredients:

Pink Smoothie Bowl

– 1 Viva wheel
– 1 cup oat milk
– ½ cup strawberries 
– ½ tsp. cinnamon powder
– Toppings: kiwi, mango, granola, and edible flowers

Yellow Smoothie Bowl

– 1 Touk-Touk wheel
– 1 cup oat milk 
– ¼ cup bananas
– ¼ cup mangos
– ¼ cup coconut yogurt
– Toppings: kiwi, mango, granola, and edible flowers

Steps:

  1. Using cookie cutters, cut different shapes into the kiwi, mango, or fruit of your choice.
  2. In a high-speed blender, mix the ingredients for each smoothie until smooth.
  3. Top each smoothie with fruit, edible flowers and granola.

Raise your hand if you love fall! 🍂🧡 As colder weather approaches, it’s essential to support your immune system with vitamins and nutrients. Today, we’re making a carrot cake smoothie bowl that’s not only super delicious and comforting thanks to PRANA’s products but also super nutritious. Our Yin smoothie contains over 20 vitamins and minerals, including 150% of your daily value of Vitamin A, 70% of your daily value of Vitamin C, 30% Folate (Folic Acid), and 7 g of protein. Did you know that oats, apricots, and protein help improve your digestive system? Bonus: this smoothie is a good source of antioxidants and fibre!

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 5 minutes 
Yield: 1 to 2 smoothie bowls

Ingredients:

Granola (makes extra)

Smoothie

  • 2 Evive Yin wheels
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened plant-based milk

Toppings

Steps:

  1. Add oat flakes, almonds, walnuts, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and salt into a medium-sized bowl and mix. Set aside.
  2. Preheat a large pan on medium-high heat. Once hot, add coconut oil and maple syrup.  
  3. Let the coconut oil melt and mix with maple syrup. Once it starts bubbling add the oat mixture and stir to coat.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 5-7 minutes or until the granola starts being fragrant. Stir regularly and keep a close eye on the granola to prevent from burning. 
  5. Remove from the heat and let cool completely – it will become crunchy as it cools.
  6. Prepare the smoothie by adding 2 Evive Yin Wheels into a blender along with 3/4 cup of plant-based milk. Blend until smooth. 
  7. Transfer to a bowl and top with granola, hemp and chia mix, dried apricots and apple slices. Enjoy immediately.

After months of quarantine at home with my kids, I’m pretty much out of ideas for cooking healthy meals and preparing healthy snacks. And when our days all look the same, it’s hard to find new special ways to motivate them to eat their veggies more than ever, am I right?

I’m sure we all feel the same now- we’re tired. We’re taking care of our children during quarantine and we’re making sure they eat right and are stimulated and educated… it’s exhausting.

But just when I was ready to throw the towel and abandon the idea of feeding my kids anything other than carbs, I remembered Evive’s smoothies – absolutely delicious and full of nutrition in every cube! I think they’re absolutely amazing for breakfast as a simple smoothie bowl! Or for a midday snack in the form of a smoothie – and they are the only smoothies that are ready to use, without a blender needed!

I discovered them last year as a mom-on-the-go breakfast idea. They’re unique on the market as they come in a form of cubes that are ready to be popped in a mason jar, covered with milk or water and ready to be enjoyed in no time (they will melt on their own within 10-15 min). But if you want to have them ready within seconds, you can also use a blender – I think they’re delicious either way!

My kids’ current obsession is Touk-Touk (a sunny blend of tropical fruits, veggies and plant-based protein) which is also the flavour of a wonderful project in collaboration with Breakfast Club of Canada. During the month of June, they will be donating 50¢ for each Touk-Touk sold towards this amazing cause!

Now, if you enjoy cooking, you can use Evive’s smoothies as the base for frozen treats, Pinterest-worthy smoothie bowls, or even baked delights! But since I’m a mom currently in quarantine mode without schools or daycare, I simply make the most delicious smoothies for my kids that they actually fully drink!

Here are a couple of fun ideas that I tried with the Touk-Touk smoothie for my kids and that are not complicated:

  • Mix the Touk-Touk with your milk of preference
  • Mix it with apple juice that’s low in sugar
  • Add some apple sauce and water to your Touk-Touk cubes
  • Serve it in a bowl as a simple smoothie bowl with some sliced fruits
  • Mix the Touk-Touk smoothies with yogurt for an extra creamy texture
  • Serve it in a bowl with cereal that’s low in sugar
  • And, if you’re feeling extra fancy, you can get a coconut and serve your smoothie inside it – your kids will think it’s the best treat ever!

Now that I’m making these smoothies once a day, my kids are actually eating many more fruits and veggies in one serving! And in my books, that’s the best mom hack ever!

For Evive’s 5th Year Anniversary, we’re celebrating by giving back! We’re so grateful for these past 5 beautiful years and want to spread our joy by bringing sunshine to kids’ mornings. We’re so proud to partner with Breakfast Club of Canada in order to support their wonderful efforts to provide children in need with breakfasts.

The Current Situation

Currently, there are 250,000 children in Canada that depend on the Club for their breakfast, however, there are 1 million children in the country who face food insecurity. With the current effects of COVID-19, the organization has stated that a minimum of $5M is necessary in order for them to quickly respond to all the children in vulnerable communities. 

Evive’s Initiative

For every Touk-Touk sold between June 1st to June 15th, we’re donating 50¢ to brighten children’s mornings! Our goal is to raise $10,000!! Together, we can help bring smiles to children’s faces in the morning. 🌞💛

What is Valentine’s Day without indulging in the ultimate treat – chocolate!💝 This year, we wanted to showcase this delicious dessert with yummy recipes and healthy chocolate smoothies. Our Azteque & Cashew Mocha flavours contain 3 portions of fruits and vegetables, delicious superfoods, and plant-based protein.🌱 It’s no wonder our Cashew Mocha is our 2nd best-selling smoothie!

This chocolate mocha smoothie bowl was so easy and fun to make – and I’m SO happy our friends over at Mid-Day Squares could collaborate with us. If you haven’t tried Mid-Day Squares yet, you really should! They’re truly delicious and make for a great healthy snack whenever you get a chocolate craving.🍫

Ingredients:

1 Evive Cashew Mocha Smoothie wheel
½ cup of unsweetened oat milk
1 scoop of vegan coconut milk yogurt
1 square of a Mid-Day Squares bar cut into little chunks (any flavour works but I made mine with Almond Crunch!)
A handful of blueberries (or your favourite fruit toppings)

Steps:

  1. Run the Cashew Mocha wheel under warm water to slightly defrost
  2. Pop the 8 smoothie cubes in a blender and add the oat milk
  3. Blend until you get a thick and creamy texture and pour into your favourite bowl
  4. Gently add the Mid-Day Squares chunks 
  5. Add a scoop of the coconut yogurt
  6. Decorate with blueberries
  7. Enjoy and savour every bite!
